French Vintage "Bureau" Lamp (c. 1930/40) | Brass & Green Opaline Glass
Quality & Authenticity Note
Details
A classic of French intellectual elegance. This vintage desk lamp, or "lampe de bureau," features a solid brass structure with a deeply aged patina. Its slender stem is crowned by a distinctive spherical pivot with a ring finial. Equipped with an ingenious internal spring mechanism, the entire arm assembly can slide vertically along the rod, allowing for precise height adjustment of the light source.
The curved arm is also fully adjustable to ensure the perfect reading light. The lamp is fitted with its iconic conical shade in forest green opaline glass. When lit, the green glass diffuses a soft, restful glow, while the white interior reflects a bright, direct light onto the workspace. This piece is a sophisticated addition to a professional studio or a curated library corner.
