Refund and Return Policy

The Nature of Our Items – Vintage and Antique Objects
Atelier Bellinzona curates and offers antique and vintage objects. Natural signs of age, wear, historical manufacturing imperfections and patina are inherent characteristics of these pieces and should not in themselves be considered defects. We aim to describe the condition of each item accurately in the product description and through detailed photographs, which form an integral part of the description.

Right of Withdrawal
If you are purchasing as a consumer online, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason within 14 days from the day on which you, or a third party designated by you other than the carrier, physically receive the item.

This right is without prejudice to any other rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law.

How to Exercise Your Right of Withdrawal

1. Please notify us of your decision to withdraw by email within the 14-day withdrawal period.
2. After notifying us, you must return the item without undue delay and in any event within 14 days from the date on which you informed us of your decision to withdraw.
3. Unless otherwise agreed, the direct cost of returning the item is the responsibility of the buyer.
4. We strongly recommend using a trackable and appropriately insured shipping service, particularly for valuable, fragile or unique objects.
5. Please pack the item with appropriate care and, whenever possible, reuse the protective packaging materials supplied with the original delivery.

For furniture, oversized items or other goods that cannot normally be returned by post, the estimated direct cost of return will be communicated before purchase where required by applicable consumer law.

Condition of Returned Items
You may inspect and handle the item only to the extent necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning, in the same way you would reasonably be able to inspect it in a physical shop.

You may be responsible for any diminished value of the item resulting from handling beyond what is necessary for this purpose.

The presence of natural patina, age-related wear or other characteristics that were clearly described and photographed before purchase does not in itself constitute damage or lack of conformity.

Refunds
If you exercise your right of withdrawal, we will reimburse all payments due to you, including the cost of the least expensive standard delivery option offered for the original order.

If you expressly chose a more expensive delivery method, such as an expedited or special service, the additional cost above the standard delivery option will not be refunded.

Refunds will be made using the same payment method used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise, and without additional fees.

We will process the refund without undue delay and within the period required by applicable law. We may withhold reimbursement until we have received the returned item or until you provide evidence that the item has been sent back, whichever occurs first.

Any reduction in the refund due to diminished value will be assessed only where the item has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish its nature, characteristics and functioning.

Damaged or Non-Conforming Items
This return policy does not limit your statutory rights if an item is damaged in transit, defective or otherwise not in conformity with the contract. In such cases, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can assist you.
